What it is

The long-stay option within the retirement KITAS

E33E sits alongside the standard E33F retirement visa inside the e-Visa system. It suits retirees planning a longer relocation: fewer renewals, but a larger financial commitment up front. Like every retirement KITAS, it is strictly non-working.

  • Multi-year

Reportedly up to five years per permit.

  • Deposit-backed

    About USD 50,000 in a state-owned bank.

  • Through e-Visa

Financial & sponsorship

Self-sufficient, and sponsored

The deposit and income tests are there to show you can support yourself for the whole stay. You also need health insurance valid in Indonesia — sometimes life insurance — and a local sponsor, usually a licensed agent who guides you through the process.

  • ~USD 50,000 deposit plus ~USD 3,000/month income
  • Health insurance; life insurance in some cases
  • A licensed agent as sponsor or guarantor
